S7 EP144 (SPOILERS) Disappointing.

I’ve been watching MHA since the anime started coming out weekly, and I can say with certainty that I’ve enjoyed it a lot. It’s almost always pulled through with great plot and animation, but with this most recent episode I have a serious complain for the first time in awhile.

While it may be minor, it’s a huge plot point of this episode and it’s been driving me crazy since the moment it occurred (SPOILERS AHEAD) Deku and the squad are mere seconds away from splitting the villains up successfully, when all of a sudden THROUGH THE ALREADY teleported warp portal, Himiko Toga somehow shoots through it (she can’t see where she’s aiming) somehow grabs Midoriya with a single thread/string PERFECTLY nonetheless. Deku doesn’t sense it with DS (Danger Sense) and casually gets pulled away (also he gets grabbed on the ground in the next scene he is somehow in the sky which doesn’t make sense) while he doesn’t even attempt to break the thread or fight it at all.

This is a plot hole, or just bad writing. There’s so many problems with this that it’s hitting my opinion of the shows writing. Based off that alone- somehow keeping Deku from going with them will cause them to not beat shigaraki, which will make the story not progress towards beating all for one for another season or 2. It’s just annoying that this is the way the author took things, if he had made it through the story wouldn’t have needed another season and our hero’s would’ve won. I’m not mad that he got pulled away, it’s HOW he got pulled away that irks me so… thanks.

TLDR: the method used to ruin the hero’s plan by pulling Deku away is shit, terrible writing could’ve used literally anything else. Plot hole central because of Danger sense not working
