There's got to be a better method here

I'm sure you've heard this story, folks bemoaning how dul Muv Luv extra is, other folks saying, "actually its my favorite part."

The thing is, Extra did the opposite of what it was supposed to. It unendeared me to the world of extra, sufficient that I lacked any interest to really go on with Unlimited, much less alternative.

I find this to be an inherent flaw with this work, that it relies of a less interesting first part which subtly causes you to fall in love with the characters before they're melted in subsequent sequels. How do you get around this if that magician's trick doesn't work
