Help me before I commit to selling

I have a 2014 Mustang V6 closing in at 78,000 miles. I absolutely love the car and I’ve owned for about 4 and half years now.

Late 2023 I had problems with my rear differential, a loud grinding noise. I took it get checked and they recommended buying an entire axle assembly off a junk vehicle.

April 2024 I replaced the entire axle assembly with one off a totaled mustang with only 35,000 miles on it.

Skip to 2025, last Saturday I took my car in for minor squealing out of the left wheel when driving. Long story short we raised my car all the way and were inspecting the wheel/brakes to see. When I noticed the entire back left axle was covered in oil.

My heart sank because I could not fathom going through another rear differential like that.

I was impulsive and ordered a 2024 honda civic and I am picking it up Thursday while trading in this Mustang.

I’m having second thoughts rn because of how much I love this car, it’s my first car and I don’t want to let it go knowing it’s something I can fix, but I do not want to dish out another $1500 buying another assembly and replacing it again.

Have any of you guys ever experienced this? Any remedies? Any solutions? Any simple fixes?

I’ve seen on forums that there is a vent on the left axle and sometimes oil will leak out of there whenever making hard right turns.

I don’t drift, I don’t race the car, I have a heavy foot but I don’t mistreat the car in any way.

Is there anything I can look for or try to see what might be wrong with it before trading it in Thursday?

If there’s any help, I truly would appreciate it.
