I’ve Fallen Out of Love With Electronic Music: Can You Rec Stuff That I May Like/Like What I Used To Listen To?

Howdy! Back when I was in college (early-mid 2010s) I used to DJ and make electronic music. I loved trap and melodic bass music the most, such as RL Grime, Flume, Flosstradamus, GTA, Yellow Claw, etc. I also liked big room house and melodic trance. The common thread, as I’m sure you can deduce, is stuff with prominent/hard hitting bass but still very melodic. I also like progressive house such as Deadmau5 and stuff like that.

I used to love electronic music, but when deep house took over, I stopped listening to and keeping up with it as much (no hate to anyone who likes it, just not my thing). I find most of the electronic that comes out now either too chill or way too intense/not melodic enough (more so on the bass music side for the latter).

I find whenever I’m in the mood for electronic, I just go back to the old stuff I used to spin and listen to. Hoping you guys can give me some newer artists that scratch this itch! It’s possible my tastes simply changed, but I’m sure there’s stuff I’m missing out there. Any size of artists are fine with me!

P.S. On the bass music side of things, I know about Knock2, ISOxo and the Sable Valley artists in general. I do enjoy some of that stuff, but it doesn’t quite do it for me as much as the older stuff does.
