Are there any good modern indie/alt rock bands?

The only modern rock I've been able to find that I like I'd Yard Act and LoveJoy.

Also, I've recently gotten into rock bands like The Strokes, Weezer, The White Strips, and Tally Hall. So if there are any modern bands like that, I'd love to know.

Oh, and also, I love proto punk and classic punk. I don't like hard-core music or anything where people are just yelling.
