[Technique] Is there any difference between malt extract and light malt extract when it comes to agar and liquid culture recepies?

Hey, I'm looking forward to get into agar and LC and have found multiple rather simple and effective recipes involving light malt extract. The only thing is that I live in Europe and the one everyone here seems to use costs way too much to import from the US. However, I'm able to source powder malt extract in brewer shops online. Is this the same thing as light malt extract and if not, would there be any downside to using malt extract instead of light malt extract?

P.s. If anyone knows a good place to get LME and/or peptone in Europe, I would be rather grateful for any recommendations.
