A sub-genre of Dark Comedy?

I’m talking about and looking for a very specific style of films, somewhere between black comedy and dark comedy.

‘Bleak comedy’ is perhaps the closest term I could think for it; movies with a looming sense of hopelessness and despair, wherein the characters or their stories are downright pathetic and miserable and the “comedy” therefore is a result of their misery and/or their circumstances.
