Difficulty creep? can't beat any of the new monsters

I'm at HR 68 and a bow main. The base monsters like Rathian, Rathalos, Pukei, etc I can easily beat at 6* and looking to go for 7*

The new monsters though, I can't even beat them at 5*. I haven't been able to beat Coral Pukei or Deviljho, even at 5* and afaik they are not available in 4*. Black diablos was difficult at 5* but still doable.

Is there a difficulty creep with the new monsters? I feel like I'm getting stronger and upgrading my gear but the new monsters are getting more difficult so I'm still lagging behind.

Even if I wanted to participate in the Coral Pukei event, I couldn't because I cant beat them.
