How does Mattel think?
It took me a long time to realize this and maybe my thoughts are wrong, but I have a theory that Mattel follows a release order. With the exception of the protagonists, for the other characters Mattel releases the signature doll of a secondary character first, then the skullmate version, and then Fearbook.
If a character doesn't sell well in the Skullmate Secrets line, it will probably be discontinued (like what happened with Ghoulia). But if it sells well, it will get a Fearbook doll (like what happened with Abbey and Venus).
As for the male characters (which Mattel doesn't seem to care about) they only got their signature versions or participated in packs with the girls (as happened with Deuce). Which gives me a bad feeling, that maybe Clawd and Health won't get other versions (since the Scary line didn't have Clawd with Draculaura, as happened with the 1600 Wishes line from G1).
And Mattel also made a huge mistake in the distribution of the twin kittens, making a pack of 3 that is expensive and almost impossible to get internationally. If their signature dolls were each a separate character, they would have sold better and could have gotten other releases in the future.
Anyway. This is just my opinion. I would love to know what you guys expect from Monster High G3.
