Is dark system really a thing?

So after teaming up with countless low skill players, i was looking online for , why? Why enemies getting better and my team worse. After reading reddit comments about this dark system thingy. Started to play less, like a gme and like 2-3 hours then another match. This way i get better team mates. Im actually in a 6 game win streak now. Idk if its a coincidence or a real thing.

Ofcourse im not skilled enough to solo carry a game but i can get a gold medal, i play xavier.
