Anemia/iron deficiency 6 weeks after MC- anyone else’s iron tank post Mc?

My miscarriage in July resulted in so much blood loss the first night and I continued to bleed for 5 weeks. Of course my OB shrugged it off.

Welp, I was referred to a hematologist due to a clotting lab coming back abnormally and I requested they do a CBC as I am often borderline on FMCH levels. They threw in iron just in case, because hematologist. YALL! I don’t know how I’m still functioning. My iron is 16 and ferritin is 3.8. Platelets are high, and iron saturation is at a whopping 3%. All of it points to extreme iron deficiency. I now have 7 iron infusions scheduled over the next 2 weeks every other day.

Anyone else’s iron/ferritin plummet after a MC to the point of being critically low?
