I’m not sure if I’m getting scammed?

sold a hoodie almost 2 weeks and I’ve been communicating with the buyer but they never responded until today. They are claiming they didn’t receive the package now after mercari denied their return. They just started to reply to me. I have reached out to mercari but I haven’t gotten a response yet. I don’t know what to do, I’m just fed up.
