Please share any stories you know of real-life peasant revolts
One complaint I hear towards medievalesque shows is that they portray peasants as passive or unopinionated, and that revolts were much more common than is portrayed. I honestly don't know that many stories of peasant revolts, so if anyone does, please share!
The only movie about peasants revolting that I know of is Anno Domini 1573, but besides that, I'm in the dark. I know in times of war, village raiding/plundering was rather common, but that doesn't mean those bearing the brunt of the nobility's political games were never angry about the fact, does it?
