Just got back into Maze Runner. Someone explain some stuff for me pls

(coming from only a movie watcher. havent read the books but ive seen all 3 movies. i rlly liked them all despite not rlly fully understanding) okay so is the only point of the plot being so nonsensical because they wanted more action out of the books? or am i missing something about the general story of the maze runner, because to me it only seems like they wanted a sci fi dystopian action movie without a clear story backing it up. it feels like they thought more about the maze rather than the destruction happening in the outside world

  1. wicked builds this excessively large maze to apparently study the brain patterns of the kids but why does this matter?? and even if they wanted to stress the kids out, the runners were the only ones really "stressing". everyone else seems to be doing fine in the glade. does their brain have something to do with them being immune?

  2. so the grievers kill the kids whenever theyre stung right? why would you want to kill your subjects if they're apparently the cure? unless it doesnt kill them?

  3. newt says the runners have been exploring the maze for 3 years, so have wicked just been waiting years for these kids to find the exit or something?? but there were other mazes so i guess thomas's group wasnt the first

  4. after they escape wicked's facility, they go on a journey to find jorge and marcus, whose places look fine?? like the people there seem to be surviving okay. i know marcus worked for wicked by gathering kids, but assuming you just eliminate the infected and surround yourself with safe people, youre safe right? last city for example. thats kinda why im confused that jorge destroyed his base just to join the kids on their journey to the right arms. his excuse is for brenda but brenda ended up getting infected so????

  5. what exactly did wicked intend on doing the immune kids anyway? put the immune's blood in the non-immune's bodies??

  6. some of the kids in the maze are not immune to the flare, so why were they put there? i mean perhaps they didnt know who was immune and who wasnt? newt ended up becoming a crank so

i know its just fiction and it doesnt necessarily have to be realistic, but assuming there actually were other mazes as minho (i think) said in the cafeteria, that's like, unbelievable amounts of money that you can put into words. like presidential amounts of money. celebrity actors and singers type of money. taylor swift money. the maze we see in first movie is actually enormous beyond comprehension. that's billions and trillions at least. and there were multiple of these????

this doesnt have anything to do with the story but like that one guy that died in the desert, i dont know how im supposed to care for him when hes had little to no involvement. idk if i just missed him or smth, and i just searched him rn to find out he was in maze runner 1, but i literally have never seen him do anything but shoot a crank. i didnt even know his name

also that aris guy. he appeared then dipped the second his two girl friends almost shot them. like okay thank you for helping up escape but?? he feels slightly unnecessary. his only function was telling thomas that the facility was still wicked then serves basically no purpose, but i might be wrong because i dont remember. and on another hand, like what a coincidence that this random guy we dont know pops out the vent of our main character's room, and his two best friends are the guards of this safe haven we are trying to get to

i dont mind brenda as a character and i actually liked her because she was a meaningful character, but like. i dont know how to explain it, but i just INSTANTLY knew she was going to be some kind of love interest to thomas. i kinda knew they werent gonna be together tho because i felt like the wanted to make thomas and teresa endgame

newtmas was the best ship. i dont rlly like that they gave thomas so many pairings
