Kinks and toys

How have you brought up 1) discussing your kinks etc and 2) introducing toys into the bedroom?

The Mrs has a several toys, tie up straps etc that have been accumulated over the years, pre being together (we've together nearly 6 with 2 kids) and I count on one hand the number of times we've used toys.... in that time.

I get the impression and have a faint idea she was quite sexually active, previously and so the non introduction/use of makes me feel its a little been there done that.....

Similarly with kinks, I feel again maybe a little late to that party with her.

Maybe that is the case from mid 20s to mid/late 30s.....

These would be premature in any case at the moment, as we're getting over the kids, but just finding ppl out.
