Yeti SB130 vs YT Jeffsy

Been riding my 2018 CF pro 27.5 YT Jeffsy for years and love it. However, I moved to Las Vegas where we have technical climbs, chunky rocky descents, and loose gravel/sand turns. The Jeffsy does fine but I'm finding myself wash out a bit more and lose some rear traction on the chunky stuff.

Found a lightly used 2022 Yeti SB130 T2 for under $5k. From what I've seen, this may check the boxes I'm after for a bit more stability in the terrain here. Less travel on the rear of the Yeti from what I have (130 vs 150). Also, I don't know if I love the 27.5 as much as when I've ridden my buddies 29ers, especially in the desert.

I'm heavily considering going with the Yeti, but also was thinking maybe a coil could help solve some of the traction problems. Both are size Large and I'm 165lbs ~6 foot.

Thoughts? Also played with the idea of a rear coil, but am hesitant to spend money if I'm going to want to upgrade one day. Thanks!
