MSI laptop just shuts down while playing for ite on medium to high settings

My friend has an MSI raider Ge78hx I think is the name with an i9 13th gen hx and a 4060 with 16gb ddr5 ram and 1tb ssd. Well I say fortnite because that's the game he plays a lot which has demanding graphics. He runs the same settings as my MSI raider ge76 12ue which has an i712700h with a 3060 120w, 16gb ddr5 ram and 1 TB ssd. He plays on a wooden table similar to mine and there seems to be not even a lot of dust.

So what happens if when he is playing, the laptop just shuts down. I checked if the fans weren't running that great but they were on cooler boost and there weren't any heavy or weird background apps running in the background while he is playing.

So what do u guys think? I personally think it's a bottleneck where the CPU is running at the highest where the GPU doesn't do anything. I will be sure to see his GPU and CPU usage while he is playing fornite to see if it what's happening but I would like to know what y'all think.

And also he brought it from Costco and I think their gaming laptops should be looked at twice before buying cause sometimes they have weird configs for their gaming laptops. I got mine from Costco too and there was also an i9 12gen with a 3060 but didn't get it.
