If Islam Makhachev doesn't fight by March 10th, its very possible that he won't be able to fight until next Octobers UFC Blockbuster Abu Dhabi Event

If Islam doesn't fight by March 9th (UFC 299) or earlier, he may not be able to fight until October

Ramadan is from March 10th -> April 9th, so him fighting at UFC 300 on April 13th is a no-go, as he would clearly be compromised coming off of Ramadan

To have Islam being able to fight at his absolute best, he should have to fight roughly 2 months removed from when Ramadan ends, so meaning likely he would be able to return June earliest

June is way too close to the October card to risk Islam potentially getting medically suspended and missing out on the Abu Dhabi card, that was the exact reason they didn't let Islam fight Beneil this year, and Instead let Dariush get his ass whooped by Oliveira & waste a contender

Imo the UFC are making a very bad move by not having Islam fight before March 9th, if not, then we won't be able to watch him fight for an entire year. 155 is too stacked to only have one title fight a year

Imo, the UFC should do Islam vs Justin as the main event of UFC 299, and move Chito vs O'Malley to another date (or maybe just keep it as a co-main)

Oliveira vs Tsarukyan should be booked too, winner gets Islam (if he beats Justin) in Abu Dhabi in a rematch
