Getting out of being subpoena

I’ve been told I am going to be subpoenaed to testify in a civil case involving a man accused of sexual assault by multiple women. The lawyers said that if I don’t cooperate, I’ll be forced to testify. I really don’t want to be involved because I feel that I would end up defending him, which I do not agree with. I’m uncomfortable being in the middle of this situation.

To make matters worse, one of the victims has threatened to have me kicked out of nursing school if I speak up. I’m scared and unsure of what my options are. I don’t want to jeopardize my future, but I also don’t want to be forced into something I don't believe in. Can anyone offer advice or guidance on what to do next?
