When to take the LSAT

I am an upcoming junior in college and planning on going to law school straight out of college. I am not a good test taker and I know I’m going to need all the prep I can get for the LSAT. I am anticipating taking the test in January of 2024 and will start studying in September of this year, so next month. I plan on applying in the fall of 2024 when I am a senior.

Is this too early or am I on track? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
