Would you use WebOS or Fire Stick 4K?
Long story short, the big Sony TV my wife had before we got married shit the bed Saturday. Luckily, I'd replaced my game room B6 with the G4 a couple months back and never got rid of it. So that is now the living room TV.
I'd never used the TV for anything other than gaming, so I had to mess around with all the settings on the TV and Fire Stick itself. I also noticed my VUDU app on the Fire Stick would only play content at HDX quality. This was fine on the old Sony, since it was only a 1080p TV, but I know the LG can display much better than that. Out of curiosity, I downloaded Fandango at Home through the WebOS and saw that I CAN watch UHD through that app. So it got me thinking if I should just ditch the Fire Stick and use the onboard apps instead.
Only thing I don't know about, is that the B6 is a 2016 model TV, so how long do they continue to support WebOS patches on that device? The Fire Stick was purchased back in 2020 or 2021 I believe to replace our non-4K model.
