Pc version of KMH 1.5 (Epic) "Save Failed" error please help

I just got the game today and I made it a good way into it and I've been getting a "save failed" issue that not only prompts the error in game but as a windows pop up. At first this issue was a one off, I white listed the game and the save folder in AV and it worked... until it didn't. Now the game refuses to save or even delete old save files and I even created a new game and when I saved there, after saving like twice in a row it broke again.

If anyone has had this issue as well I would love to know if you found a fix or at least know that I'm not alone in this issue. I just wanna play the game :(
