Daycare spot

I have been struggling to find a spot for my daughter in a daycare centre. She’s been on the list for the last year, is this normal? We live in Kanata and she’s number 200+ on every list… what do parents do when they have to go to work and their kids are still without care?!

Thanks everyone for the responses. I have been calling and visiting and whenever I do I just get told the number of where we are on the waitlist, I guess they are trying to enforce them more and more. Will continue to search and will join the Facebook group 🫶🏼 thank you and love you all!
