How Juice inspired me (long read)
You guys are free to share how he inspired yall, here’s my piece
I make music (no I’m not promoting myself) and I was mainly inspired by Lil Uzi Vert when I started (circa 2015). A few years later, I was on Rap Caviar and AGATS and Lucid Dreams was always at or near the top. It took a minute for me to actually pay attention to what I was listening to, but I finally caught on right before Lucid Dreams made it to #1. Then GB&GR dropped and I immediately played the album out 🤣 it was so good. Not only that, but I literally was going through a breakup with my first girlfriend. I am a very dependent person, and she was really the only person I had that I could confide in. That album really helped me. It influenced my music to where my friends would tell me they were tired of me making sad music 😭 they just didn’t understand. Juice helped me find an outlet for the emotions that i struggled with. He helped me refine my craft, I started punching in a lot faster with better lyrics and melodies. When he died, I felt like I lost the person who understood me. Nobody was making music like him at the level he was on, and with his death, the whole sound he helped refine died also. Nowadays I understand sad rap has almost completely phased out. I don’t care tho, I still make the music I make even though I know I may never be a star. I’ve gotten older. Me and Juice were the same age so I’m kinda unc now 🤣🤣🤣 I got responsibilities and bills and stuff now. I got twins otw. I still find time to make music because of Juice. I thank him for keeping me level headed in times of turmoil. Idk, really just something I wanted to express with the community.
