Does the phrase 'skidmarks' have the same two meanings in the Netherlands as the UK?
I only ask because in Traffik one line Joost says (if it has translated right) that the "the skidmarks are getting darker" which has two meanings in UK English. One is refurring to the marks left by tyres when a car skids to a stop. The other is British slang for the marks left on your underwear if you don't wipe yourself clean properly after taking a shit. So I was wondering if this is the same phrase in joost's native language. I thought he might be taking the piss out of the ebu, implying that they are, or should be shitting themselves as their disqualification looks likely to be proved completely bogus. Or maybe it's just me reading into it too much. What do you lot think?
