I strongly believe Grant Green is the greatest guitarist Jazz has ever seen. And one of greatest in music history

This man was pretty much been the dominant musical force of my teens, and he is still on my cycle DAILY. The sheer talent he exudes on every record just takes my breath away. There just isn’t really any bad albums, standouts for me are “Visions”, “Solid” and “Green Street”.

But even his work when he’s not the leader, such as his stuff with Lou Donaldson, the man just steals the show every time, which is especially impressive considering the ensembles he often played with.

If you haven’t delved deep into his work, I couldn’t recommend it enough. The man is the GOAT.
