Posting Progress!

Started Invisalign in Oct 2023 with a class III underbite, crossbite and crowding. In my early teens, I was told I needed jaw surgery to correct it. I didn't want to go through that process and decided to try Invisalign at 36 (first opinion with dentist, second opinion with ortho - GO TO AN ORTHO!)

I'm on tray 32 of 40. Had 1-2 attachments on every tooth. First round was 15 trays (7 day changes) with a Carriere device and rubber bands on both sides to pull my lower jaw back. I started with only a top tray. Next set was 15 trays, at some point I got the Carriere devices off and went between rubberbands at all times to only needing rubberbands at night. I'm now on my final round of trays: 10 trays, no rubberbands, changing every 5 days. What was expected to take 12-18 months (comprehensive plan) will likely take 10 months total. It was so tough in the first week or so, and I was counting down the days since day 1, but it has been SO SO worth it. If anyone is contemplating - DO IT. It is so worth it in the end. I am so happy with my progress and sooo much more confident with my smile!
