Wondering if I can collect points at Meijers

Not sure how big of a grocery store it is, but when you scan it, all it does is connect the order to your account and gives you points for it. I don’t see how instacart would know if I do it. I haven’t done it yet, but if it doesn’t affect the order, and the customer doesn’t have anything to scan I don’t see the problem. Has anyone done this before, or know anything about?
