100 mm gun at Watershed Martyr's Memorial premises at Sherathang near Nathu La, East Sikkim. The versatile, accurate and highly robust 100 mm gun of Russian origin was inducted into the Indian Army in August 1967. It weighs 3650 Kg and requires a crew of six soldiers. The gun's shell is 16 Kg and it can fire to a distance of 20 Km with great accuracy and lethality. The gun proved extremely effective and decisive against the Pakistani tanks during the 1971 Operations. The gun displayed proudly at the Watershed Memorial is a gift from the Indian Army to the State of Sikkim 🇮🇳
