Newbies - when the community says get a grinder first - they are really doing you good!

So I jumped into this black hole and got a picopresso first and was using pre ground beans from a local roaster. For about 2 months I was living under a rock , happy that I was brewing a good cup and having really great coffee... oblivious to everything else..

I thought I was doing great! The shots were good and I couldn't really get the stress on getting a good grinder and using fresh beans.. I knew it would make a difference but couldn't really understand how much!

But then the other fellow picopresso posts were making me anxious. I wasn't getting crema but I had attributed that to the pre ground beans and made peace with it... then I read about people jamming their pumps, equipment being too hot to handle, the arm workout because of pumping and on and on and I started getting fomo!!

That's when I took the plunge and got myself the K6 and dialed in my first shot!!! OMG was I blown or what...

The shot was full bodied, syrupy and oh! the flavours.

I finally feel I am utilizing the full potential of my equipments and the money was well spent.

I am still learning and have a long way to go but the real fun has just begun for me.

My family thinks it's too much taam jhaam for one cup of coffee but after I made my husband a cup today, he was impressed :)

It makes a world of a difference so really if you want to get the best out of your equipment and the money and time and efforts, get a good compatible grinder to go!!!

Thank you to everyone again on this group.
