looking to hear experiences

my fiance took a genetic test based off his familys health conditions and it came back that he is a carrier to an awful lymph vessel affecting disorder that his mom and brothers have, and with a quick discussion we thought that it would be best to seek IVF for our future family to avoid passing this issue along to our children.

that said, i have never met anyone that went through IVF and dont have anything but what google tells me. im interested in hearing personal stories and experiences, why you chose IVF, how long the process took, what were the problems you faced, and anything else you feel is relevant. this is all very new to me. tia
