Nerfing long ammo isn't as simple as you might think

Don't get me wrong, I'd like some big rebalances to happen. Having a few months ago become a consistent 5 star, I really am tired of the long ammo meta.

However, Spitzer's single real downside is lower damage. If all multi shot rifles get a damage nerf, long ammo rifles with Spitzer will be the meta. It'll still be an improvement with some more variety and much less getting one shot bodyshot after long a bar, but don't go thinking the Mosin meta is going to change
