Snow is supposed to be likable in the film (thoughts below).

I keep reading posts and comments all over about how people did not like that Snow was so likable in the film - especially up until the finale; Snow being likable is the whole point. Take away his thoughts and that’s the person you get. The persona he’s carefully crafted to aid his agenda and eventual rise to power. I’m not sure how people are missing this…especially book readers. Also, if you just watch Tom Blyth, who acted brilliantly, you can almost peek into Snow’s mind at times without the necessitation for an internal dialogue (another detail I’ve seen people say the film suffered for not having). Thoughts?

On a side note, I think this is one of the issue with book-to-film adaptations. Readers expect to be fed everything but I challenge you to read the screenplay of your favorite film. It will absolutely add context you were unaware of from watching alone. That’s what makes it great.
