Any experience with compounded or powdered prescend/peroglide

I'm just curious if anyone has transitioned from tablet Boehringer Prescend to compounded liquid or powdered prescend?

How much cheaper was it? How much more effective (or less)? Was it more or less palatable?

My mare has been on prescend for the past couple years and now wants nothing to do with it. I've done new feed, taken her off the pill, put her back on etc. I can syringe it into her mouth, but im curious about the other options.
