Thoughts on building this in Maine
We’re looking to move to maine, just trying to find the right acreage. Does something like this make sense in Northern Maine? Figure the “screened porch” area wouldn’t actually be just screened due to the winters, but the design should help with summertime airflow? We’re torn on whether it would be good to go on a slab (with radiant) or are we stuck with a full basement due to the deep frost line? Is something like this doable at $100sqft? Overall we’re pretty handy to update things after we get moved in. Still very early in our process.
