Help Me Find the time I was on TV!!
So when I was about 13, my mom entered me into a contest with the local news station in my hometown of Charleston, SC. I remember specifically it was Live5 News. I won a contest to be the weather girl in the morning, we drove like 2 hours to get there, and was almost turned away at the door because of the Boston Bombing. My mom argued with the security and the hosts and they ended up letting us in to do my segment. I remember it did air because people at school came up to me to tell me that they were shocked not only to see me on TV, but shocked because I was speaking in the middle of time they put aside for the attacks. It only aired once, and Live5 says they do not have a backup copy as apparently there was a flood. I am literally the only missing segment!! The other kids segments were posted on the new stations Facebook except for mine. We had a copy at one point but lost it, and I have a picture of me with a Live5 shirt standing next to one of the hosts.
I'd love to show it to my mom again. She has early dementia but before she became ill, her favorite quote was one I said during the segment - the host asked me about the weather, expecting me to say stuff like oh Tuesday its going to be 88 and such, but instead I said, "Its pretty hot, Bill"! Every once in a while I will just hear my mom spout, "Thats pretty hot, Bill!"
Who can help me? I've scoured the internet.
