How do Valentino fans actually like Val?

Like genuine question here how is Val some people’s favorite character? Like how do you get passed all the SA and other crap he did? I’ve been wondering for a little bit now, I’m genuinely curious as to how that works. I’m not trying to hate on anyone btw I just wanna know /srs
