gas 3 in Ontario not good enough for Alberta?

good morning hvac fans (pun intended)! fellow electrician here and I have a question to ask. so I'm considering on getting my gas 3 tech certification here in Ontario and school starts in January. I went and looked up the equivalency for Alberta and it seems that their is only a gas 2 and gas 1 certification over there. if I get my gas 3 and move to Alberta (95% is what I'm going to be doing eventually) will I be wasting my money? will it count as gas 2? anyone have a link to show me the equivalency? I looked up on the internet but doesn't say much. any help would be great, thanks.
