Does The Wing Zero EW Canonically Also Fight Epyon?

Hey everyone. I read online that the Mobile Suit designs from Endless Waltz are effectively just redesigns of existing Mobile Suits. If that is the case, did the EW version of the Wing Zero canonically also face off against the Epyon if the TV and EW designs are the same Mobile Suit?
