Southern California Edison

I got my CDL A no restrictions and i have 7 months experience on it. I applied for distribution and transmission job around LA county and Ventura County. I applied for 8 positions and its been a week and still says “application received”. Are they really slowing with hiring or im cooked? I applied for the position right when they dropped. What’s my chances on getting hired.

Also asking around family friends if they can put a word for me but i havent found one yet.
