Two sets of crazy people in one day!
Today, taking advantage of the sunshine and mild weather i decided to take Lucy to a different park we havent been before. Its a rugby field complex and dogs are fully allowed on-lead around the edges. It has a little stream and lots of hedges for good sniffiy bimbling.
Lucy was trotting away happily next to me, on lead, not being a bother at all and super well behaved and calm as usual, when a younger woman with 2 kids having a picnic about 50 metres away gets up, screams at the top of her voice "GET YOUR ****ING DOBERMAN AWAY FROM ME AND MY KIDS"
I was in shock a bit and looked around to see if there was someone else around, but nope, she was screaming at us!
as we walked past her around the perimeter (she was in the middle of the field) she kept screaming the same sort of things at me - Lucy, bless her, was completely unbothered and more interested in smelling every blade of grass.
After that, i fancied a Starbucks (and PupCup for Lucy) on the way back. We went in, big queue - one coffee machine out of order. Lucy knows starbucks and knows somehting tasty arrives for her at the end. She always waits perfectly well in the queue - not bothering anyone, just stands quiet next to me. We go about once a week for our treats so most of the staff know us a bit now.
As we got nearer the end waiting for our goodies, this older woman squeezes past us, bumps into Lucy - who just looked at this woman who dared bump into her bum - and she proceeds to ask me to take my large agressive dog out of the shop!
Lucily both the barista at the till, and the nice young couple next to me in the queue said she is perfectly behaved and isnt being a bother to anyone - angry woman shuffles off and shoots daggers at us the whole time we were waiting!
