Honest thoughts about Jade Cargill
What's not to like about Jade Cargill? She looks like a super-hero and she had a Master's degree in child psychology. So, again, what's not to like about Jade Cargill? Well, her professional wrestling career immediately comes to mind.
When her professional wrestling career began nearly three-and-a-half years ago, Cargill was understandably green in the ring - so much so that being "green" was worked into her gimmick as green like money.
Early in her career, AEW fans either said Cargill had "potential" and "she is getting better". In my opinion, these are not words you want associated with an undefeated TBS Champion. Furthermore, I honestly feel that all of the TBS champions who followed her (Kris Statlander, Julia Hart, Willow Nightingale and Mercedes Monè) have done more to elevate the title than Cargill ever did.
Don't get me wrong, I don't blame Cargill for this. She has absolutely put in the effort. I've gone on record multiple times (on numerous podcasts) stating flat-out that the biggest issue was Cargill's horrendous booking.
Flash forward to Clash at the Castle, where many people have pointed out two blunders Cargill made in the match. I've subsequently seen arguments saying that Cargill needs to be sent back to the Performance Center - while others stated the age-old argument that Cargill "has potential".
I can argue that AEW rushed Cargill into prominence. I can also argue that WWE has done the same thing. What do you think?
