Serious question

I really want to dress gothic. But I don’t listen to goth music. I really only believe in the politics and other culture surrounding being goth. I will never call myself goth, because I’m not. I know it’s a music based subculture and that im not apart of that. I just want to know if it’s okay to dress GOTHIC but not be really goth.
