What is your opinion on Lindsay?
Believe me, there are moments with Lindsay that I find irritating but I think it's all due to the circumstances she was put in. She knew Dean wasn't over Rory yet she still stayed with him, and said yes immediately when Dean proposed. She was brought up to believe in the magic of being a SAHM by her mother who was a SAHM herself and they continued to push it after they were married (teaching her how to cook, not encouraging her to get a job/go to college, mentioning kids ["don't make that mistake with your little ones!"]), only to find that Dean had to work so much to keep them afloat and bring her the things she wanted, including time with him. Dean treated her horribly and he only married her out of some sort of desperate attempt to prove that he was over Rory. The more I rewatch the more I get past the sense that she's annoying and realize she was promised a fairytale ending with a man who was going to come home with the bacon, love her unconditionally and have the time to spend with her and their future children like her parents have. She became the thing that got between Rory and Dean getting back together and he tossed her away the moment the opportunity to sleep with Rory appeared. This poor girl.
