Pushing carbs like crazy??

Has anybody had an experience where their diabetes center is just pushing carbs like crazy? I feel like I’m losing my mind slightly every time I go because they quiz me on how many carbs I’m supposed to be eating per meal, then chastise me for not eating enough, but my sugar is super well controlled! They admit every time that my sugar is perfect and then immediately lecture me on not eating enough and not eating enough carbs. I had PCOS and type 2 diabetes and I didn’t eat many carbs before pregnancy, and I’m not avoiding them now, I’m just eating what I’m used to eating. I’m 36 weeks and my son is measuring totally normally in all areas, sitting at the 57th percentile and growing normally. I normally eat 100 or so grams of carbs a day. They’re pushing me very hard to eat 200-212 a day and the nurse today even told me “if you can’t eat 200 grams of carbs without spiking we will just have to put you on insulin.” I don’t understand this at all. Why would I double my carb intake and run my sugar up just to get on insulin when I’m not underweight and my baby is growing normally?
