How likely are you to get banned In Genshin?

I’ve been wondering about how strict HoYoverse is when it comes to banning players for using hacks or mods in Genshin Impact. I’ve seen some people talk about using third-party tools for various reasons, like QoL mods, cosmetic changes, or even hacks like infinite stamina or no cooldowns.

Just for a few examples:

Around two years ago, I got added into a discord server where majority of the people used genshin hacks and most of them had 100% exploration on everything. They'd clear abyss floor 12 at AR 30 with level twenty characters. I was very new so I didn't know what abyss or 100% exploration ment.

A year ago I've came across this one genshin player who used to take money for piloting genshin accounts. I asked him about how he takes care of so many accounts and levels everything up so fast. The he answered that he uses a mod that does infinite damage and it marks all the chest.

A few months ago I met someone who uses the same hacks. We werent that close but he wanted to do my alt account's abyss. I was AR 23 back then. I asked him how and he said he'd use hacks so I refused. Im always extra careful with stuff like this. I don't want to get my ip address banned from a game that I enjoy for some primo gems. I asked him if he every got banned and he said no. Apparently he was using that method for two years now but he never got a ban or a warning.

Today I came across a tiktok where someone was farming for Citlali. They were using an app called korepi. As soon as they opened the app, all the hidden chest got a trail and they were doing infinity damage. I opened the comments just to see how pleased they were with that app. They were sharing their positive experience with that mod apk. Some viwers were even asking for a tutorial.

I've seen multiple people playing genshin mods with different skins. I'm pretty sure majority of us saw the video of Neuvillette wearing a white wedding suit in a moded version of genshin.

I understand that these are against the TOS, but I’m curious about the level of enforcement. For example:

Has anyone here used mods or hacks and not gotten banned?

Are certain types of mods more likely to get you banned than others?

Does HoYoverse actively monitor accounts, or is it more about being reported by other players?

I’m not condoning cheating or breaking the rules, but I’d like to understand the risks involved, especially since I’ve seen conflicting information online.
