Does Fromville remind anyone of backrooms lore?

So I know this might be far fetched. But the Fromville town kinda reminds me of the backrooms lore a bit. Like you leave one dimension and enter a new one where random things are placed and exist (like the diner, houses, etc). There are creatures that mimic humans and then change into scary beasts. There’s bigger things hiding in the forest. The phone chords without cables/ kind of minimal in that’s sense. I just find it very similar.
