Spongey Breaks
2009 Ford Focus 2.0 5 speed
I just replaced my clutch and have no brakes now. I bled the clutch first, clutch wasn't great and brakes barely worked. Then i bled front 2 brakes. Clutch still sucked but brakes were slightly usable. then I bled all 4 tires in the proper order and the bled clutch. Clutch is perfect now and better than I have ever seen it but brakes are probably the worse ive seen. I drove it 40 miles and the only brake engagement I get is when the pedal is to the floor and I press it deeper to the floor. If i slam on the brake pedal, wheels do not lock up but the car is obviously tilting/twist like the brake pressure isn't even to the wheels i guess.
When i was bleeding the brakes i kept them pumping the brakes until no air bubbles came out in 3 pumps in a row. Not sure what I am missing here. I read somewhere that there could be air in the abs module?
Also if i press the brakes fast i can clearly hear air forcing out from somewhere, inside the car it sounds like its coming from the brake pedal and outside the car it sounds like its coming below the master cylinder. I feel like this is new thing but its been over a month since Ive used it so I may just not remember it.
