Thai Airways: does my ticket guarantee me a seat?

Hi!

So I’ve read so many mixed experiences with people buying a ticket and then (if they didn’t reserve a seat) they lose it because the plane got overbooked. Couldn’t find much experience for Thai Airways tho, just in general.

The reason I didn’t reserve my seat is because I am really not fussed about if I’ll sit next to the window or the aisle or in the middle. I would rather give the opportunity to someone that that means to them more than it means to me…

So because of different people’s experiences I started panicking and I checked how much is my flight booked and there are only a few seats left to reserve.

Is that genuine or should I be really scared that I won’t get on the flight and basically reserve the seat in the end? :’)
