I dont have energy in the gym

I’ve been really thinking about this lately because it’s starting to affect me more than I realized.

I’m on my weight loss journey 21M, 5’10”, currently at 88kg. I go to the gym in the evening and eat in a calorie deficit which has been working well. But some days I feel completely drained like there’s just no energy in me. I usually have breakfast around 8 AM but my lunch timing is all over the place sometimes I eat at 1 PM other times as late as 3 PM.

Recently I noticed that when I eat lunch at 3 I have slightly more energy in the gym. But even then it still doesn’t feel like enough. So I’m thinking of adding something around 5 PM to boost my energy before my workout.

People at the gym keep telling me I’m not eating enough, and maybe they’re right. My maintenance calories are 2700and to lose 0.5 kg per week my target is around 2200. I usually eat about 2000 with around 100g of protein but somehow I still feel weak.

I really want to fix this so if you guys have any solid pre workout snack suggestions that’ll actually help, I’d appreciate it. Here’s what my diet looks like:

Breakfast: Overnight soaked oats with protein powder and some fruits
Lunch: 2 roti or chawal, sabji, salad, and raw paneer
Dinner: 🥗 salad
